These arcs give me anxiety lol also that teacher is super creepy, how is he trusted to look after kids when he looks so happy talking to the police about how he stalks a young woman home every night? He's literally acting like he has no idea what hes doing is wrong, even saying she looks cute when she's visibly uncomfortable at the thought of a man following her home every night?

While I do agree with that assessment, I feel like I've had a worse teacher on that front. He was very much a pervert and he was not acting ignorant about that. He really wasn't the kind of person you wanted in your personal space no matter how many people were in the same room.

He never crossed the line, but he danced on it.

I've never experienced that at school myself thankfully as all my teachers were women, but heard plenty of stories from friends of that exact kind of behaviour. Never overtly doing anything they can't explain away but not being shy about being a creep either, even in a full class of students. Sorry you had to deal with that ( ˘︹˘ )

And the worst part of it was.. He was quite a likeable person if you ignored it. It made him pretty hard to dislike and he was a fairly good teacher too. I've had teachers who were less creepy and yet still less likeable than him.

But I suppose if you boil it down to the basics, it's probably because, despite being a creep, he was more genuine and you knew where you had him and what to expect from him at all times.

My least likeable teacher I've ever had the pleasure to be taught by, frankly he's the only teacher I've ever been scared of. If I had to compare him to something it'd be a brick wall rigged with traps. I couldn't get a proper read on the man and I never knew where I had him or how he would react. He had the same stony expression whether he was joking or being serious. I'd rather be alone in a room with the creep than Mr. Stone-face. 😆

I think though with people like that creep, if they do everything else right, try to be likable, be good at their job etc. people start excusing any small creepy advances, hurtful comments or otherwise negative behaviour they might witness because its just that one inconvenience and they're seen as a good person overall, which is even more dangerous if you ask me, and they're all the more dangerous when they're a teacher and are meant to be perceived as the adult and figure of authority by their students. You'd be the one to get into trouble just for calling him out because how could a teacher be wrong, especially one who's seen as a good person by their collegues, and if that goes to their head it could become a slippery slope of testing how far they can push the line without getting into any trouble. Even now as you say he was likable other than his perverse attitude, who knows what else hes gotten away with specifically because hes seen as a good teacher and likable person

True. I am not going to defend him on that account. If he has ever done something, I would not be surprised. Nothing happened and no one got in trouble, at least not that I know of, during the year I was at that school.
